I started a series of paintings a while ago based on the poem "The Marshes of Glynn" by Sidney Lanier. My parents were married, I was born and married, and many vacations spent in Glynn County Ga. surrounded and influenced by the marshes, sunrises and sunsets, waterbirds, oaks, moss and palms, and shrimpboats. It is a place of breathtaking beauty and close to my heart.
These pastel studies are done from photos I've taken over the last several years while staying at the King's house at Lake Weir Florida.
